Grace and peace, members and friends of the Rehoboth Congregational Church!
Our opening hymn on Sunday was Praise to the Lord, the Almighty, which was my grandfather's favorite hymn. Our family has kind of adopted it as "our" hymn - we sing it at weddings, baptisms, funerals and ordinations. It reminds us of him and draws us close to one another and to God. I love singing this hymn, so I pull it out for worship on Sundays that feel like special occasions.
And Sunday certainly did.
From the fellowship at the pancake breakfast to the blessing of the backpacks to the overflowing choir loft to the congregation full of people smiling back at me - Sunday was special.
Thank you to the Missions Committee for organizing a delicious breakfast and giving our community the opportunity to break bread together as we kicked off our year. Thank you to Nathan and the choir for filling our sanctuary with beautiful music. Thank you to Allison, Mike & Jenn for prepping classrooms and curriculum so our children and youth have a safe and fun space to learn about the Bible and grow in their faith.
Thank you to ALL of you for showing up, week after week, and doing church together. Thank you for being the church in the village - the Body of Christ.
Praise to the Lord! O let all that is in me adore him!
All that hath life and breath, come now with praises before him.
Let the Amen sound from his people again:
Gladly for aye we adore him.
Amen and Amen!
See you on Sunday.
In God's love,
- Rev. Sarah

We will announce where we will be meeting during morning announcements when we have a better idea of the number planning on attending. So! We will be providing a light lunch and need to know if you will be attending. Please talk to Sarah or Mike or call the church office to let us know if you can make it. We are looking forward to hearing your impressions of the book and discussing your thoughts and ideas which can help strengthen and grow RCC. The author, Molly Phinney Baskette, has graciously sent us a copy of her study guide ahead of publication that we can use during our discussions. Nice!
Please call the office at 508-252-4545 to let you know if you are attending or see Rev. Sarah or Mike Sullivan-Silva after church.

Please join us for our monthly Taizé worship service! The worship style of the Taizé community offers a quiet place to pray, meditate, reflect, listen or just be. Sunday, September 30th, after church
The after church weekly reflection which we began last spring will start up again after church September 30th. The reflection focuses on Reverend Sarah's sermon. We discuss the sermon's meaning and impact on us and how we can carry its message with us through the coming week. Everyone is invited to attend! We meet on stage after worship. Grab a coffee and snack and join us! Those who were able to attend last year spoke of how the reflection helped deepen their understanding and import of Sarah's message while it was fresh on their minds. It was an enjoyable and meaningful example of our church community sharing fellowship and faith and we hope you feel comfortable enough to join in this year.
