Grace and Peace, Members and Friends of the Rehoboth Congregational Church!
From the bottom of my heart, thank you to everyone who assisted with Earl Goff's visitation and funeral last weekend. It takes a village - and it certainly did! Thank you to everyone who baked goodies, set up, cleaned up, moved tables and chairs, greeted visitors, washed dishes, helped with crowd control, sang and dished out ice cream (peach, of course!). I am so grateful for the outpouring of support I saw from the RCC community last weekend.
It seems like Lent is flying by faster than we can plan our worship services! Palm Sunday is NEXT weekend! This week I want to talk about what this story means for us, as Christians. Without this story - without the cross, without the sacrifice Jesus made for us, without the time of waiting for Easter Sunday - there would be no reassurance of eternal life, no bold promise that love always wins.
So please join us for church on Sunday! And bring your appetite - the youth group will be hosting a Baked Potato (and toppings!) Bar Fundraiser after worship to benefit their fundraising efforts for Homeless Awareness Weekend 2018. A freewill offering will be collected.
See you on Sunday!
WORSHIP THIS WEEK
Sunday, March 18, 2018 | 10:00 am
Scripture: John 12:20-33
We have had several yarn donations to the church lately and would like to pass it along to anyone who would like to use it for a project! The yarn will be available in Fellowship Hall Sunday, March 18th. Please take as much as you'd like!
We are in the process of updating our directory. We have many new members and attendees since it was last done. My goal is to have it finished and printed over the summer but in order to do that I need everyone's help! Thank you so much!! If you didn't get a form, there are forms available in the Narthex and Fellowship Hall or I can mail/email one to you.
You don't have to be a member to be a part of our directory! I'm also including a link here so you can print it out. Thanks!!!!!! Kathy
We are looking for names and addresses of all friends and family of RCC who are currently serving in the armed forces either at a base here in the United States or deployed overseas. The Church School will be sending cards, letters and care packages throughout the year to let them know that they are thought of here at Rehoboth Congregational Church. Please send in their names and addresses to Kathy in the Office. THANK YOU! I hope this will become a huge success!

The Rehoboth Congregational Church has recommended that certain endowment funds be allocated to fund a scholarship program. The Endowment Committee encourages church members who are currently in a post-secondary school or will be starting post-secondary education next fall in all majors, including those pursuing religious studies and public service fields, to submit an application. The complete application must be submitted by Monday, May 7, 2018. The committee will review applications and the applicant or sponsor may be asked to meet with the committee. The committee will ask the church to approve its recommendations at a congregational meeting on Sunday, May 20, 2018.
The Youth Group will be handing out empty pill bottles with a prescription to fill it with change during the Lenten season. The money will be used to fund Youth Group activities. Bottles should be returned by Palm Sunday, March 25th. If you need a prescription bottle, see any Youth Group member.
